Who We Are
Founded by Aidan with the help of Ben - recent Durham graduates in Natural Sciences and Physics respectively, with the goal of sharing our knowledge of success to allow more students to reach their potential. We are deeply passionate about transforming young people’s perception of and engagement with these disciplines, and about helping more students find success in science and maths.
We believe that science and maths are invaluable tools for understanding the world around us and for developing skills that are transferable across every aspect of life. Our expertise and passion enriches our lesson plans ensuring all of our session are engaging and productive. We ensure that progress is clear through updates after every lesson.
Our teaching philosophy is grounded in constructivist principles and context-based learning, long-established and evidence-based teaching methods that have shaped modern education for decades. These approaches emphasise that students learn most effectively when new knowledge is connected to what they already know and delivered with context. Studies show that contextualised, constructivist teaching improves understanding, retention and problem solving. In our tutoring, we pair these methods with scaffolding — structured support that helps students master new material step by step — and bridging mechanisms, which ensure that deep conceptual understanding translates into confident performance under exam conditions.
